N Scale Signals From Kato
Posted by Jimmyboy0727 on Sunday, February 2, 2014 2:09 PM

Is there a way to re program the signals timing, or maybe wire them into a sytem that is controled via blocks?  I was considering purchasing different signals either from N.J. International, Tomar Industries, or a new site i found Custom Signal Systems.  I am also looking for decent block controllers to run the system.  I haven't decided where I am placing, nor how many I want on the layout yet.  Just to show what I am building, I have a picture of the layout on here as well.  Any advice would help!  The pictures are located on this page.  I had to upload to my site.

The Atlas G type signals look good and I will be using them on my home layout. The Three color signals from NJ International are what i'm using on my T-Trak modules. They look good and are bright enough to be seen in the bright lighting of the shows I take them to.  I'm using NCE BD-20 current detectors for block detection and the control circuits are built by me using mini DPDT relays from allelectronics. You could use the BD-20's to run the Atlas signal control boards. The Atlas detector boards don't work with DCC, but the BD-20 work on both DC or DCC. Custom signal systems uses the Atlas control boards. Custom signals worked with Atlas to develope their signal system.

My circuits have been posted on this site but I don't remember the topic name so you'll have to look for them
