Hello everyone. I have a question for anyone who is a DCC sound expert. The question is, which Tsunami decoder do I need for my BLI Paragon 2 C30-7? I have a Soundtraxx Tsunami 828046 TSU-AT1000 GE FDL-16. This decoder is for Atlas trains. I don't know if this decoder will work or which decoder to use and I don't want to fry it or my locomotive, trust me I'm very good at frying decoders! Do I have to change the speakers in the Paragon 2 locomotive cause I know Tsunami decoders require speakers with 8 ohm's. After listning to Soundtraxx Tsunami, I'm hooked! Please can anyone help me?
Thanks a million!

As far as the motor current on the BLI is not above the tsunami capacity, you should be ok. The tsunami AT does not have a harness so it will take the position of the light board. You will need to wire all the lights individually ... Which makes it a scratch install.
I thought all BLI Paragon2 locomotives already have a sound decoder in them, so why are you asking about putting a Tsunami into it?
They do have a decoder but, it's not prototypical sound. It's generic sound. Tsunami sounds like the real thing.
Thank you. I was hoping it would be an easy swap. Well it looks like I got my work cut out. Thanks a lot for the info.
If, as you say, you are "very good at frying decoders", send the loco to a pro and have him install the decoder. Don't waste good money on buying and frying a Tsunami.

Thanks Rich, I'm gonna take it to the hobby shop near me. There is a guy there that does it. I can't afford to fry another decoder! Thanks again.
