I recently downloaded JMRI and im having trouble getting it to read my QSI equitped altlas. Is there a different way to do the qsi decoders. I have no troubles from the other locos i have done.

If the QSI is a sound decoder, you most likely need a programming booster. This increases the programming track current allowing you to read most sound decoders. Non sound decoders don't need a booster.
If you have an NCE Power Cab DCC system, you don't need a programming track booster. It has enough power to read sound decoders, but you need to be in program track mode.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.
(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
A Digitrax PR3 in stand-alone programmer mode will also read QSI (and other) sound decoders.
Well i guess i should have put a few moore info I do have and NCE pro cab system and and it is a QSI with sound. I could not get to recongnise it on the programing track. I had to do it on the main and had no trouble making changes to it
I do thank you for the reply
