I've been operating the subject system with no real problems for about 3 years. Last week it made up for lost time. I've got three control cabs for the system. I was operating one normally when all of a sudden two other locos started up. All three cab displays showed the same thing: "NCE PROCAB V. 1.3 CAB ADDRESS = 01". Cabs 2 and 3 displayed those respective numbers. None of the control buttons would change the display or alter the functioning.
I've recycled the power, checked wiring connections, taken remaining locos off the track except one. Nothing changed the problem.
Ideas????
Does any of your cabs/throttles have the same cab address? Each throttle should be a different address. Each cab should be addressed one at a time. Unplug all the cabs but one and see if the system operates normally.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
To add to Pete's message:
If the system operates properly with only one cab connected, note it's cab address; then unplug it and plug in another cab. Change its address to something different. Then do the same with the third cab. Each one must be on its own cab address.
Read the instructions on how to change a cab address.
There is an NCE DCC group at YahooGroups.com. There are many NCE users with lots of experience there.
