Does anyone know how to isolate the motor on a Rivarossi F8 unit,? I'm stuck. Any help is much appreciated

Hi, thanks for the help, but my engine looks like this.
Cut the metal clip going to the right motor brush. This is the electrical ground between the geared truck and the motor's brush. Once that's clipped, you wire it just like any other diesel.

It's also highly advisable to check the current draw of that motor before converting it to DCC. I have had a couple of those old AHM locos with motors like that that drew over 2 Amps current.
