Hello all,
I've encountered a problem on the layout tonight. I've been running my Ring Engineering EOT on a boxcar... Both trucks are 33''. I had the car running on DCC for a while, but I have a small layout with the feeders all tied in together... I switched the 'ole Digitrax Zephyr Controller out with a MRC Tech Controlled for DC. I later, took the DC pack back off and replaced the Zephyr, back onto the layout. It is now back running on DCC... I noticed, when I placed the boxcar back on the track that has the EOT on it, the light will not flash. What is the cause of this?
All help is welcomed and appreciated :)
Nate
If the car has metal wheels, a metal bottom, and metal trucks, and you reversed the truck on the other end, you may have created a short through the bottom of the car.
The device only picks up from the truck it is in. The other truck has no wiring. Everything is in the truck with the EOT. Might have been wiped out by the DC if the voltage was too high. The device is analog compatible. Contact the company. They have an on line site as I have looked at the site many times.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

The OP does not mention a short since the system is still operating.
