Installation of Cornerstone 130 turntable ques.
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 7:47 PM

I halve sent this question in to Walthers but thought I would ask here as well (often faster)

I am in the process of installing this newly delivered unit at last. My layout is DCC but I intend to use the turntable in the DC mode with the DC controller. It is going well. However instructions seem slim on the following point: QUES. 1 are the bridge tracks powered once the bridge is set in the turntable and the controller is hooked up to its power adapter? I have hooked the turntable to the adapter on the #3#4 contacts as shown and the bridge moves properly....but are the tracks powered? Will locomotives on the bridge tracks now be controlled by my DCC throttle without any further connection??. QUES. 2 What are terminals #1 an #2 on the controller box supposed to connect to? The slim instructions say something about bridge power.

Thanks to anyone who has done this.

You need to connect track feeds to 1 and 2 for the bridge rails. 3 and 4 are the power to the electronics to move the table.

Oh, I think I see.  I was thinking the track feeds meant from the bridge rails and I couldn't see any points or wires provided to run from the bridge rails to the controller......but you mean track feeds from the layout to the terminals #1 and #2 on the controller.

Thanks.

Once you  have the track power connected (ususally from the track buss) the bridge will always have DCC to it (unless you put a switch in the line to control it?). This is a great turntable and am sure you will enjoy it.
