Should be able to.  The 06 has, I believe, select accessory capability.

Yes.  Mine have a sticker on the back explaining the procedure.  To run a macro, it should be Shift, then Shift again, followed by Select.  The LCD display will change to indicate "route," at which point you key in the macro and press "Enter."  To work a single accessory decoder without a macro, you do the same except for pressing Select only once.

OK, I got that but......

Once I enter the accy mode, I press the number of the turnout I want to actuate with the switch 8. Then, I am lost. What happens next? If, for example, the turnout is thrown, how would I get it to change?

Bruce, did you get an answer yet?  If not, I found a website where there is a description of how to do what you want.  See: http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/5573.

Scroll down to where the big print says "I rec'd my e-prom chip".  Then scroll down a little more until you pass the photo of the 06 with the 8416 on the display.  The second paragraph below the photo describes the sequence.
