Crossbucks with lights and sound
Posted by Aikidomaster on Thursday, January 26, 2012 3:56 AM

I am looking for a set up that includes two crossbucks with flashing red lights and a sound module. It seems that there are alot of manufacturers that offer different components, but none with everything sold together. I have never tried a project like this, but am willing to learn. Any suggestions?Embarrassed

Logic Rail Technologies' Grade Crossing Pro pretty much does it all, and operates in a very relistic manner if you do things liek stop the train and back up rather than continue through the crossing. It's designe to use a Tortoise to lower the gates, although gates aren't required, and can flash lights or LEDs, so it really doesn't matte rmuch where you get the actual crossbucks from. Totally independent from the track, it uses IR or photocells for detection, so it doesn't matter if you use DC or DCC or AC or whatever to run the trains.

MTH is the only one's offering an all-in-one solution for crossing gates with sound.

And these are great, I just recently installed these on my layout. They work flawlessly.

Very easy to install. Took me about 2 hours for the complete install.

I'm very happy with my purchase.
