Wanting to get a AG SD-70 DCC Ready loco. How easy is it to install the chip.Ans what is a good one to get,No sound needed.I use NCE .Thanks Bob
ABout as easy as they come, remove shell, remove the dummy plug board ont he 9 pin plug, plug in the decoder, restore shell.
Good inexpensive decoder is the NCE D13SRJ, just remove the wire pigtail and 9 pin plug, then plug decoder into loco. Save wires for future use. Or a TCS T1A if you want to step up to BEMF.
