Well, this could be promising for use on the  layout. I found one on ebay for $6.96 including shipping so I ordered one. Will have to see what it can do. It is coming from China, so I expect a week or two on delivery.

I like the video where the camera is a MD91. I did a search on the specs. Cost about $65.00 though. Removable media like a standard digital camera.

I did find some pen type spy cameras but i understand the audio has been disabled by law. They are  about 6 inches long by about 0.5 inch around/wide/high. They have a media card in them. Have not compared resolution. Thre is a lot of stuff out there to play with for video/audio in a model railroad.

I also did some searches for audio hacking pen cameras. Found some useful links. Hope FBI is not watching this thread.

That would make a nice digital camera for a dummy loco.

The wireless video cameras are nice but need analog to digital conversion such as the one from Micro Mark.

Quality of videos is another discussion. I have not done any comparisons.

I did a lot of searhing and found a  HD808 Jumbo #11 Mini Car Keyfob Camcorders DVR Recorder and 8 GB 8G Samsung MicroSD card fo about $50.00 total. I like the HD videos I have found.

My buddy who flies RC planes will love the camera. I have seen some videos taken from RC planes.

I will use this camera at the club layout.

Looks a lot better than the old analog systems.   When I did my cab ride videos, the signal kept dropping out, lots of distortion.   I'll have to try again with one of these digital cameras.
