Digitrax DB 150 question
Posted by Aikidomaster on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 3:38 PM

I have two DB 150 boosters. One is fine, the 2nd one does not have the power light on. I am attempting to connect them together along with the PM42 for power management of different districts. I can not seem to get the "power" back on the other DB 150 even when it is by itself. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it??Sad

Well, I'm not a Digitrax guy, but since no one has answered you yet, try this.

It sounds like either the booster may be bad or the power supply may be bad, or the wiring from the power supply to the booster may be bad.

Remove the booster from your set up.  Then set it up (connect it) by itself according to the manual as if it were brand new.  This should provide a basic test set up and allow you to determine if it is working or not.

Once you have determined if it works or not, you can proceed from there.

As I understand it, you also have to have a LocoNet cable connected from the DB150 you are using as the command station and the DB150 you are using as the booster.  And the DB150 you are using as the booster must be configured to be a booster and not a command station.

Elmer.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.

(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.

Did you ever try the solutions presented in the last thread?

I am confident the OpSw 39 reset will fix it - mine got 'stuck' and wouldn;t turn on shortly after I got it all hooked up (as a booster with my Zephyr as the command station). I did the OpSw 39 reset on it, and it's been humming along perfectly ever since.
