Believe they were made in a lab in Cambridge, MA and were big for years [especially in the Northeast]] many years before DIGITAL Command Control entered the scene. Just wondered if many modelers still run their layouts with this system and are parts still available? TTFN.....papasmurf
Papasmurf There were are several modelers in our area that still use it. I myself just got a Powercab about 2 months ago. I was a great system considering the 1980s technology. The only thing I did not like about it was the limit on the number of receivers. Last thing I heard a modeler in Erie Pa. Had the rights to this system, that was several years ago.
Anyone want to buy any of the parts from my system?

Not anymore. I used it in the 90's and when DCC started coming along, Abbott offered a dual decoder that would recognize either Dynatrol of DCC. I started converting over with the new decoders, which by the way were pretty expensive in those days until I had enough engines converted, and in 2000 I went to DCC / NCE. I think I may still have a diesel or two with the dual decoder still installed.
It was a good product, but limited by channels available.
