Walthers Transfer Table DC operation start up issue
Posted by onrman3 on Sunday, March 13, 2011 11:51 AM

I just hooked up my brand new Walthers HO transfer table to my MRC Railpower 1400 transformer and the table transfer displays the title Heljan which it should do and a letter and number display and then simply the letter "c". The instructions do not make reference to any final diplay of "c". I wanted to test the device before I install it on my layout with the additional pit. When I press any of the buttons nothing happens.

Help?

My only suggestion is check your power supply.

Check the output of the AC transformer.  It must be 12-18 VAC and has to be a minimum of 12 volts

If it's a power pack (DC), it has to be 16-24 VDC

Thank you for the reply - it does meet those standards.

Is it asking you to do the calibrating step and just leaving the "al" off after the "c" display?

I also wondered about that but none of the buttons seem to make anything happen. The manual does not provide any troubleshooting help which is a pain.

Stupid question, but have you tried the reset procedure?

Not a stupid question - how do you do this?

hit up / down in the menu till you see "res" then hit go/set

It will ask for confirmation.  Select "Y" and go/set

After the reset try the zero calibration routine.

HI. I got a "C3 on my display. I tested in DC and DCC and always got a C. The only sound I got is from the bridge itself, like a tiny rumble which stoped when I pushed a button on the Box. I dont no what to look for next. Is there anyone who can help me if he can ?

Welcome to the forum.  Your initial posts are moderated.

In a 9 year old thread like this, links don't work.  There is no charge if you want to start a brand new thread.  You are in luck in that Don is still active in the forum, and probably the only one.

Reviews of this transfer table on the web are less than complementary.
