Programming loco

I have several different loco's on the track at any given time. I have a Spectrum 2-8-0, BLI 2-8-2 and a Galloping Goose. All have factory installed sound. What I'd like is for the sound to only come on when I recall the engine. The goose works like that. But the other two do not. Is there a setting that I can change?

Is the BLI loco a Blueline or Paragon 2?

I'm not sure if this is it but try different settings on CV245 for paragon.  Blueline may not have the same option.
