Can someone tell me how to re-set, to the factory settings, my Bachmann GP-7?

Set CV8 to a value of 8 for standard bachmann decoders.

 Sure it's 8? Lenz's own decoders use 33 in CV8.

When reading through a bunch of hits on google I get both.  8 and 33.  8 was the first one I found.

I see 8 for a lot of things, mainly because Digitrax was one of the first to offer that feature and they use CV8=8. Some have more than one way, most are somethign other than 8. Tsunami uses 8, so a Bachmann with sound would indeed be CV8=8 (or CV30=2, which also works for Tsunami - and TCS)

ANd as in the other thread, what you DON'T want to do if using a PowerCab is use the internal 'recover decoder' option, unless the decoder in question is an actual NCE decoder, as it makes lighting and motor drive settings that only apply to NCE's decoders.

Thanks to all.   Yes it is CV8 set to 8 for the motor decoder & CV30 set to 2 if it has a sound decoder.
