Walthers Transfer Table Hookup Issues -please help
Posted by hepkat63 on Monday, December 20, 2010 2:40 AM

Hi,

I have purchased a Walthers HO Transfer Table brand new from ebay.  It was indeed brand new , however when I hooked it up - all I get on the control box is a boot up set of numbers going through a sequence quickly, then it goes to the letter 'C' and that is all.  Just a red capital C on the display of the control box.   I have tried hooking the control box up to nothing but a 15V AC Power supply to terminals 3 + 4 as per the instructions - power cycled the unit, and again, it shows a flash of red, then (i think) A107 briefly (i guess the DCC address) then goes to the letter C again.   I then tried Another AC power supply - 16V AC - same thing.  Changed the lead wires around - same thing.  I then figured I should hook the track power up to terminals 1 + 2 - so I put the power from the  DCC track left rail and right rail to terminal 1 + 2 - same thing.  Then I plugged in the (sort of network cable thing) to the transfer table - but again - same thing, just the letter C.   After all this - I contacted the seller and he had no idea either - so figuring the Control box must be stuffed - he (kindly) sent me another control box - but guess what ... same EXACT thing.  it is SO annoying, I have no where to turn.  I am overseas, but I called Walther tech support - and no one took my call and no one has called me back.  The seller has no idea (even though they are a walthers agent) - so was wondering if any of you smart folk out there would be able to help please?  I am sure it is something very simple - but it has got me totally out of ideas.

Send Walthers an e-mail describing your problem and giving your contact information.  I believe that they will respond with some sort of message acknowledging your e-mail and possibly letting you know where you are on their "I'll get back to you" list.
