I replaced the rollers in my transformer. When I put the inside control handle on it will move on the shaft. Is there anything that is put in there to make this handle tighter or did I SCREW SOMETHING UP!?If anyone can give me any info.on this I would be very grateful.

Someone here may know, but you;ll probably get more response ont he Classic Toy Trains forum than you will here. Most people here are more scale moderls and not hirail or tinplate. I'm sure some here collect and operate vintage Lionel as AF, but that is probably a minority. CTT will be full of people who collect, repair, and operate this stuff.

you might have better luck in the "Classic Toy Trains" forums -- that's where the Lionel (and American Flyer) crowd usually hangs out. the Model Railroader crowd is usually using HO or N scale equipment.
