I do not understand why I can not use the SD 70 in the ACE system MTH Advanced Consisting.Someone explain to me why I'm not getting?ThanksClaudio Jose Alves
Advanced consisting uses a couple of CV's in the DCC scheme. The main one is CV19. The idea is to set up loco's to have an address for consisting and also have the correct direction, lighting and even sounds that represents the spot where each loco resides in the consist. Advanced consisting is typically also portable, so once you set say 3 loco's to consist with each other they can be used on any layout using the consist address. There are a few other variables but these are the major ones.
The issue with MTH and advanced conisist is simple. They don't support it or the cv's involved to make it happen. Some DCC systems can still consist by individually sending commands to each loco in an old style consist. Not as portable or as friendly when transporting but possible.
Consisting is onlyone of the issues with MTH though. Another biggie is the ability to speed match with non MTH loco's and the lack of the ability to set individual volume's for different sounds.

The clear answer is that the ACE MTH SD70 locomotive equipped with Proto 3.0, the system does not support using advanced Consist. We only use the universal system Consisting (old). And we can only use a universal Consisting per system, which limits the use in large models with a large number of locomotives. Claudio Jose Alves
I use the Advanced Wireless CRM system and have more than 50 locomotives and has no way to use one by one. It is necessary to the formation of Advanced Consisting to run multiple compositions of three or more locomotives. One can be used in Consist Old and the others in Advance Consisting but the locomotives are MTH's a problem, they do not accept the system Advanced Consisting. bought 05 locomotives from MTH SD70 ACE and will not buy more until the solution of this problem by the MTH or a colleague in this list.
Grateful to all

I used MRC Advanced Wireless. not CRM
