Best Sound Decoder For Genesis SD 75
Posted by hobo9941 on Sunday, September 5, 2010 9:13 PM

I just ordered a Genesis SD75I. I want to put sound and DCC in it. It also has operating ditch lights. What would be the best sound decoder for this unit. I have installed dozens of sound decoders, but mostly MRC and Soundtraxx, and I'm tired of the MRC junk.

Here's a link to it.

As David noted this line is specifically made for Athearns.  I used one in my SD60i and it worked great.

I suggest you solder the wires to the board rather than use the pushpins that are probably in the unit.

Thanks, Guys. Does it have all the sounds? I don't want to have to download sounds or by some kind of downloader gizmo.

Never mind. I went to the link. Thanks again.

Could I suggest a delete feature on this board?
