I've been looking at the Broadway Limited Blueline EMD SD9 with sound. What type of decoder would I use to add DCC? Does it take a decoder with an eight pin connecter? Any help would be appreciated.

Page 9 of the operators manual lists 6 different ones. I used the NCE 14IP in mine.

I don't have a SD 9, but I do have a RSD 15 and GE AC 6000. The 6000's due to spaces I had to use a 8 pin N scale decoder. On the RSD 15 I used a Digitrax DH 163 HO scale decoder. They should have a list of decoders that will fit.

I just installed a Digitrax DH123P in my BLI Blueline SD9 with sound. It was an easy install and works great. I am sure there are others that fit and work as well but this was my first decoder installation and was glad to see how easy it was. You must follow instructions though as you have to set the address of the sound decoder first, and then install the Digitrax and set it for the same address.
