Tsunami decoder wiring for blue box Athearn
Posted by joe1965 on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 8:05 PM
I have installed a Tsunami soundtraxx decoder in one of my blue box GP60 Athearn locos and it runs. I wanted to know do I need to solder wires to both ends of the board for the wheel pickups? Does it make a difference in conductive? I have one wire connected to the right side pickup and one wire (connected to the frame) connected to the left pickup.

No you do not need to solder wires to the other end. I do because my locos have a pair of wires for each truck.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
