k1d4 light problem

k1d4 light problem

i have a kato sd70 with a tcs k1d4 and both front and back lights are one at the same tim i tried resetting the decoder but that did not work any i deas what the problem might be ? thanks bowen

 Verify CV49 is 0 and CV50 is 16. If that's all ok, verify some part of the decoder is not touching the frame where it's not supposed to, particularly at the ends near the LEDs.

 Also, which SD70 do you have? The K1D4 is recommended only for the SD70MAC. the SD70ACe and SD70M are supposed to use the K1D4-NC.

it is giving the can not read cv message when i try changing the cv's

 What DCC system? Are you attempting to program on the main, or on a program track?

its the nce power cab and i have tried both on program track i get the message on the main it does nothing at all to affect the decoder{that i can tell}
