The manual for my Q2 doesn't explain which function key allows you to access this feature.
I have heard this sound effect before on a Paragon 2 Hudson demonstration video put up by another member of this forum.
And my model has this feature, because I keep playing with the farm noises and industrial sound effects, and after messing with those buttons, the grade crossing bell comes on for no apparent reason.
I'm running my loco on MRC Prodigy Advanced. Is it a problem with my DCC system?
Any help? Thanks.
If it is about the horn/whistle, It is clearly indicated in the operator's manual. It is F13 both for diesel and steam. This function can be easily mapped to a function below 12 if needed. Again the manual is very clear on how to do it.

No, its not the whistle, I've never had any problem with that feature. Its the actual bell ringing that happens when the train zooms past the crossing flashers.
I vaguely recall reading something along these lines sometime ago. Last month when programming a Paragon 2 steam loco for a friend I tried to program that feature into his loco to no avail. Was it with a Blue Line, a QSI, a Paragon or Paragon 2 decoder I was unable to find anything about it in the manuals. I figured it is no longer available or I misread.
