sound decoder for an sw9/1200

Hi everyone.  It's been a long time since I've been on here.  And where else better then to ask you all for help.  I have a Canadian National SW9/1200 switcher that I would like to have a sound decoder in.  I'm modeling 1955 if this makes a difference.  I haven't been able to find a decoder that would work.  Any help would be greatful.  Thanks.

What brand ?   What scale ? 

The time frame you're modeling makes no difference, but the brand of locomotive and scale sure does.

Ya sorry about that I should of mentioned that it's a Proto 2000 (Life Like) and it's HO scale.

Do you have a metal milling machine or know someone at a machine shop who can mill away enough of the frame to fit a speaker and decoder without getting into the motor and gearing?  P2K models have very little room for even a simple motor control decoder unless it's a new "DCC Ready" model.  Even then, finding room for a speaker can be a real challenge.

An alternative would be a new Broadway Limited Paragon2 switcher that already has DCC/Sound factory installed.

I've done several installs on these exact engines for customers. You do not require a mill/shop to do a sound install. The frame is removable from the motor. Using a band saw equipped with a metal blade, or hacksaw and careful measurements you can install easily with two mini oval speakers with enclosures. Two quality sound decoders can be used; either the new QSI Rev U/A or the Lok Sound micro. Erik Fiske

 Thanks for the help guys.  I do know of some people that could mill out part of the frame for me.  Or I could try Erik's suggestion.  I will look into the LokSound Micro.  Thanks again everyone.
