Bachmann EZ-Command compatible with any stationary decoders?
Posted by explorer626 on Thursday, January 14, 2010 10:48 AM

All, I am building a layout with Atlas Code 100 track and 9 Atlas turnouts and will also be using the EZ-Command Controller to control two Bachmann engines.

Question:  Is there any way I can use the EZ-command controller to interface to the lenz LS150, Digitrax DS64 or other similar stationary decoder (which would control Atlas twin-coil switch machines)?  If so how would this work in terms of buttons/functions on the EZ-Command?

Has any one successfully done this?

Thanks,

Phil

 Short answer: No

Slightly longer answer - the Bachmann EZ-Track turnouts with DCC are desinged to work with the EZ-Command, by using mobile decoder addresses. EZ-Command can only address mobile decoder addresses 1-9. And run an analog loco on 0.
