Question regarding Dynamis DCC
Posted by supraman on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 2:07 PM

I've been looking at using Dynamis for my DCC system and so far I like all the options and features with it but the question I have is, do I really have to point the wireless cab at the receiver for the signal to send? Or can I just point it the general direction? Can I point it anywhere and still get it to work?

Infra red is very limited.  Radio is much more reliable, greater range, and you don't have to point it at anything.

I suggest you continue shopping.

Well back to the drawing board. I really liked the looks of their cabs. Any recommendations for a system? Looking to run about 3 locos at once and all the switches are going to go DCC.

Check out the websites of:

Digitrax (My favorite)

Lenz

NCE

I'm sure some others in here will add to this list.

You can read the manuals on line and decide what suits your needs.
