DIESEL SOUND/HORN Construction article.

This was a construction article published in MR in either 1985/86. CONSTRUCTION BY KEITH GUITERRAZ. Anybody (old timers) remember it? I have the article somewhere AND  the units.  I know the units are for indoor use BUT I may have a go at sorting them out for garden use (reed switches/magnets/speakers).  I have always considered this one of the best I have heard (including the modern types).  The big trouble is..finding an essential backup chip that was used..it was one of quite a few..a Hammond organ  music chip (!).  Got something similar from Hammond as a spare . . . but not the one originally used.  Time will tell if the original goes up the spout and the spare is used..so to speak.  At least I may be able to get the digital prog out of the original chip and try poking it into another similar type (if I can find a blank).

You can contact Keith at CVP Products and ask him -- he is still in business and making DCC systems.

He has a "contact us" link on his web site.
