Tsunami MOTOR stay Alive
Posted by trainnut1250 on Monday, August 31, 2009 2:30 PM

Check this link for an ingenious rewiring of the Tsunamis to provide motor stay alive capability with no soldering to the circuit board.

If this works as advertised it could be very useful.  I have already replaced the stay alive capacitors on my Tsunamis with 1200uf caps for more stay alive power for sound....This is suggesting a 4700uf (with resistor and diode to limit surges on startup) and rerouting the cap wiring to power the motor as well.

Hope this can be of use.

Yes, this has been used for nearly two years and recently updated by the Marcus. I modified some of my Roundhouse steamers almost two years ago with his ideas.  He is a frequent poster in at least two Yahoo DCC groups. One being the SoundTraxx DCC group.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
