my emd mp15dc makes all the sounds, but what ever In I do to the programming it still wont move .Has anyone any ideas?.
My Atlas MP 15DC has three steps for shutting the loco down (idle, disconnect and total shutdown). By double clicking 9 each time you can procede to the different steps. When in the idle step the sounds will work and the engine will rev up but it will not move. To get out of these steps you have to double click 6. Could you have gotten into this procedure for shutdown?

Can you read back the decoder address ? What mode were you using to program the address ? I found that Page mode would not work with my Digitrax system. This locomotive, with a QSI v7 decoder, required me to use direct mode to prgram and read back the address properly.

Hi UK.
I went through the same thing a while back. Look at the thread below, it may help. I eventually got it running. It was a frustrating but educational experience. Good luck.

I have an Atlas Gold MP15 and it runs great and changed the default decoder number to the locomotive number and changed some other CVs also. I have a Digitrax system, but use DecoderPro to program locomotives and not the DT400. This was my first sound locomotive so I added a PowerPax to the programing track.
