Programing question from a Newbie
Posted by Lex on Friday, April 3, 2009 9:58 AM
I've recently started my adventure with model trains, I purchased an F3 Santa Fe AB unit (Genesis) to go along with my DCC system. I've been successful at programing some of the various sounds as well as the volume levels. What I'm looking to do is activate the different lights that are on the train, ie the number plaque the little tinny lights above the plaques as well as the cab lights. Sorry for the poor none tech descriptions, I'm still learning. In the manual I haven't been able to figure out what the terms for these lights are, that is assuming I can even turn them on in the first place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no number board or cab lights that can be turned on.  The headlight and perhaps a mars light are going to be your only choices.
