Hi,
I just bought the power loc right and left turnouts for my sons track and was wondering how those are connected to the power supply to get them to move electrically and not by doing it manually at the track? Will I need another power supply than the standard +,- dc and +,- ac? Thanks for the help.
If they are the remote control type they should have come with the control buttons already wired to them. The feed for the buttons would be the AC terminals on your pwoer pack. For a basic setup this will be fine, but if you expand to a more complex layout you'll want a dedicated power supply for the switch motors so the train doesn't slow down every time you push the button. Usually what peopel do it get a better power pack for better control of the trains and use the old basic train set one as the power supply for the switch motors.
