I have a new atlas dash 8 engine (n scale) with the decoder installed from factory. I tried to program it with my digitrax unit and it would show up "d c r" on the display. what am i missing, i have a atlas engine in which i installed the decoder in and i got that to work. need help please??? on a related topic how would you do speed matching during MU operation, i tried but no luck. thanks in advance.

In answer to your first question, read the instructions and see if there's a jumper plug that has to be moved on the decoder to switch it from DC to DCC operation. I'm not familiar at all with N scale, but on the HO scale Atlas dual-mode decoders there was a jumper that had to be moved.
