Posi_Lock Connectors

Have any of you found out about or use these posi-lock connectors instead of the suitcase connectors for one's wiring needs? According to my understanding, these connectors use only a turn with your hand instead of having to buy a special type of pliers for the suitcase connectors. Any experiences would be appreciated to be commented on. Included below is the link to these type of connectors.

 Crimp-on butt connectors are much cheaper and easier to use.  I've never used the posilock connectors.

I don't know how you can say this if you have never used them. In any event, I have used suitcase connectors and similar IDC's many times. However, I switched to Posi-Tap for the present layout. I would never switch back. The Posi-Tap takes less than a minute to install. It requires no special tools. It can be removed in seconds. On the other hand, IDC's can be difficult to install, especially in tight spaces. I know because I admit that I have mashed a couple along the way. The simple response to the original question is to try both. I think I know the answer already. The best way to wire a layout is to strip the bus wires and feeders, solder them properly and then coat the connections to avoid shorts. But that requires skills, time and patience (and physical agility, too) that some of us don't always possess. I've done it and can do it well but would rather spend my time on other facets of the layout. John Timm

If you are wanting to compare to the suitcase connectors, the you need to look at the Posi-Tap(http://posi-lock.com/posiplug.html), not the Posi-Lock.
