When using my Prodigy Advance none of my locomotives will actualy move. The lights will come on and the sounds will work but the locomotive itself will not move. I thought for a while it may be the value in CV#29 but like I say all of my locomotives are doing the same thing and I did bring one to my local hobby shop and it ran fine. I have gone through all of the trouble shooting steps suggested by MRC but nothing has worked. Does anyone have and idea before I package it all up and send it to the manufacturer? Throughly confused in Minnesota.
Make sure the bus wires are on the Main terminal and not the Program terminal. With my PA2, the locos don't move on the Program track, just the Main.
modelrrguy is probably right about having the track connected to the program output. The MRC system is every bit as reliable as Digitrax and NCE. So don't go jumping to conclusions about the system. It does everything the other systems do (with a more user friendly interface and at a more reasonable price too I might add).

Are you absolutely positive the light and sound will work on a programming track ?

Then both modelrrguy and JDVass are wrong and the OP has his PA connected correctly. Therefore David's reply make lots of sense.
Well, it's either broken, or he has the cab connected wrong, or is not selecting an address properly. Since the lights and sounds come on, it's at least putting out a DCC signal to the track. Couple of things - those have a switch for the number of cabs don't they? Might not work if it's in the wrong position. And does the display on the cab actually show anything?
