Hare decoder not fully functioning
Posted by B&Mbarn on Sunday, January 11, 2009 8:55 PM

I have installed a Hare decoder on a Tortoise machine and have been able to get it to operate by Pro Cab commands and a push button connected to contacts #11 & #12.  However, I have not been able to get the  AutoThrow function to work.  I've double and triple checked all connections according to diagrams and instructions.    My trigger rail sections are only about 1 1/4 " long.  Could this be the problem?  I assumed the AutoThrow feature is active by default when first installed as there is nothing in the instructions about activating this feature other than procedures for special controls by timing or Dispatcher.

I would suggest a phone call or e-mail to Tony's Train Exchange, since the Hare is their product and they should be able to tell you what is being done wrong.
