I´ve a TRIX Kof loco with DCC decoder. In DC its double the max. speed than in DCC. Anybody knows which CV need to adjust to increase the speed in DCC? Thanks.
It depends on the decoder. Did your engine not come with a manual? Do you know which decoder is involved?
Generally, CV5 is the V-Max CV that tells the decoder how much voltage to assign to its motor output at the top throttle setting.
If this loco had the decoder already installed at the factory, it is most likely a Marklin decoder that is not compatible with the U.S. NMRA DCC Standards, so you'll probably have to snoop around on the Marklin web site to find the documentation (and it will be in German).
Thanks all you. I purchased the engine in eBay, in excellent condition but without instructions. The decoder is factory installed; the slow motion is the best I´ve seen. Thanks you again.
Thanks you, that´s right.
