Silent BLI Stock car
Posted by joe-daddy on Sunday, October 12, 2008 7:47 PM

I just purchased a BLI chicken stock car, put it on the layout and it worked as expected for a couple of sessions only to go silent.  While there was a magnetic wand in the box, no instructions were included in the box.  It is suppose to be resetable etc but no  idea how to do it.  A search of the web and the BLI website produced no results.

At club on thursday night, a friend told me he had TWO cars and both of them work sometimes and are silent most of the time.

We are both Lenz users.

Anyone else have similar experience or knows how to reset and manage the cars?

Thanks,

Joe Daddy

if you haven't yet assigned the car an address, call up address 3 and hit any function button to "wake" the decoder up, then wiggle the car a back a forth a bit to start the sound, then you can dispatch the address from your throttle.

the wand mianly is used to set the volume.

Thanks River Eagle, the cluckers are noisy again.  Perhaps tech support will tell me where to get the product documentation.

03 is the default factory ID, you can change it on your programming track (just like giving a loco decoder a new address) but I think only to a two-digit number. On my cattle car the last two digits of the car no. are 99 so I used that.
