Posted by iomtt on Friday, October 10, 2008 6:58 PM

Hi  All,

I have  just  converted  a   Con Cor/Kato   U.P.  turbine to dcc using  a  TCS M1  and  have  two tankers  that  go with  it  but need  a B unit  between  them  and cant  find  pictures or  reference  to them or  if  a B  unit  was  ever  made  in N scale  for  it as it  would  be nice to run  the  full  train and  load any  suggestions to  where i could find one  would  gratefully recieved.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

The Con-Cor N scale turbines are of the 'Veranda' style.  They did not have 'B' units, just a tender.  The 'Big Blow' turbines are the ones that were two units with tender.  The only 'Big Blow' turbine models in N scale may be a brass import.

That 'B' unit in the 'Big Blow' is the actual gas turbine unit.  The 'A' unit had the cab controls and a small diesel so the locomotive combo could move around in the yard without firing up the turbine.

The 3 unit turbine was made by Overland. they are Highly detailed, and quite expensive.

I just bought one. Also hard to find.
