Bachmann Spectrum DCC DASH 8-40CW LED and decoder question
Posted by elansp on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 9:46 PM

All-

I recently picked up a few of these and I'd like to replace the factory LEDs (they have a blue-ish tint which bugs the heck out of me).  The problem is that the are cylindrically flat - what I mean by this is image a standard LED that was smushed - anyone have any idea where I can find a good replacement?  I've searched through eb*y but cannot seem to locate this type of LED.

Additionally, is there a reason I should change out the factory Bachmann 8 pin decoder for say a Digitrax decoder?  Will it make a performance difference?

Thanks in advance,

Use Tamiya clear orange paint #X-26 on the led.
