I'm embarassed to say this, but I can't consist QSI sound equiped diesels normally. I have successfully put my Soundtraxx locos in consist, but I can't figure out the cv's (21 & 22) for the QSI. I have a Prodigy Advance throttle that takes only two numbers (cv# and data#) The QSI manual seems to have more. I must be missing something, but then again, wouldn't be the first time. If there is some sort of conversion I would really appreciate the help.

Please be more specific. QSI use three kind of CV, some like CV21 & 22 are not indexed, some use a single array index and others uses two dimensions array.
What part of the manual are you referring to?

I was refering to pages 46 and 47 in manual version 4.3. What I want to do is set up my engines as lead, mid and helpers, so that differant locos have some of thier light and sounds, such as coupler clash, prime mover, bell and horn are assigned to differant locos. Example; Lead loco would have bell, horn, forward light, engine sounds in general. Mid would have engine sounds, Rear would have engine sounds, coupler clash, reverse light. I've accomplished this on soundtraxx , but I don't understand the bit part, such as Example; CV 56.4, bit 1. I'm using a PA throttle, and it seems to be written for DGTX or NCE. I'm not complaining but I've never used either of those systems. Sorry for the confusion.

First I can't find version 4.3 of QSI manual on their web site, I have only access to V4.2 therefore what I saw on page 46 may be irrelevant to your question.
In any event what is said for CV22 in street language is the following
For the lead engine set CV22 to 31
For the mid engine set CV22 to 20
for the end engine set CV22 to 20
CV22 is not an indexed CV.
QSI CV54 is a one dimension indexed array, CV49 being the primary index PI in short. In your example CV56.4 bit 1 means Set CV49 to 4 and Set CV56 to 2
Others QSI CV use two dimensions array CV55 is one of them, CV49 being the primary index PI and CV50 being the secondary index SI in short.In the page 46 examples Set CV55.73.1 to 0 means set CV49 to 73, CV50 to 1 and CV55 to 0Set CV55.70.1 to 0 means set CV49 to 70, CV50 to 1 and CV55 to 0Set CV55.73.1 to 32 means set CV49 to 73, CV50 to 1 and CV55 to 32Set CV55.70.1 to 86 means set CV49 to 70, CV50 to 1 and CV55 to 86Set CV55.73.1 to 0 means set CV49 to 73, CV50 to 1 and CV55 to 0. Bear in mind this only works with Decoders Version 7.

I also took a look at pages 44-45 of QSI V4.2 of the manual and here are in street language the values recommanded for CV21.
Lead engine Set CV21 to 251
Mid engine Set CV21 to 248
End engine Set CV21 to 252

I installed those numbers into the assigned locos, just what I need. I have to admit that I still don't understand it all. Did you add up all the variables in the sound CVs and then consolidate them under CVs 21 and 22 ? That's basically what I did with the Soundtraxx. I'll have to study the figures some more for a better understanding. I've got one more challenge ahead. I've got a new FM H1044 w/snd and I want to change the regualted throttle (RTC) to standard throttle (STC) CV 56.4. In the meantime I'd like to thank you again for your help, much appreciated.
P.S. I know that DGTX and NCE are good equipment Dave, but the truth be told the only problems I've had were when I myself didn't understand, (which is way too frequently) and the older I get, you know the rest.

What I did is simple Binary to Decimal bits conversion.
To obtain an STC throttle Set CV 49 to 4 and Set CV 56 to 1.
I'll give it a try, though I'm sure it'll work.
