Kato n NW2 / DZ123K3
Posted by lisican on Sunday, August 17, 2008 3:28 AM

I just installed the DZ123K3 in my new Kato NW2 (n scale), and everything works fine. I changed CV49 to 104 to get the dimming effect with the front headlight when I put the engine in reverse. It dims, only very slightly. I also tried changing CV50 to 120 to get the same effect with the reverse light. And again, it barely dimmed, so I decided to keep the reverse light as one that only comes on in reverse.

Is there a way to program the front light to dim more when I put the engine in reverse? Or am I stuck with the lamp as is because it's an LED mounted on the drop in decoder (as opposed to installing a resistor as you might do with a hard wire installation).

Thanks

Sorry as far as I know only Train control systems decoders have the adjustable dimming of the headlights.
