proto 2000 mars light
Posted by breezer on Sunday, May 25, 2008 11:07 AM

Just recieved a Proto 2000 Milwaukee Road F7A with mars light. As I was running loco on DC around my layout it was working wonderful and then the mars light just quit. I removed shell and moved the power wire over to the regular power for the other light and confirmed the light works. Does anyone know if this a bad circuit board or is there something else I should try?

Thanks,

Randall

If you are going to install a DCC decoder in it, it shouldn't be a problem as you will not be using the original circuit board.  If you are going to stay with DC, get it repaired under warranty.

Elmer.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.

(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
