I am installing a decoder ina N 2-6-6-2 , the decoder sits before the cab. and the engine is prewired for dcc, some what. When I hook up the lights I get a short. Up front of the engine is a circuit board for the lighting circuit with two screws that make contact with the split boiler. if I remove the screws the short clears but lights do not work. it looks to be a lamp in the front of the engine. any one run into this? I am thinking of removing the circuit board and putting a 22 ohm resistor on the lamp. Am I heading in the right direction?
thanks
Elmer.
