Advice please. I have fitted a number of my N Scale Life-Like Locos with Digitraz DZ123 decoders with little problem. I now wish to fit a DZ125 (smaller than the DZ123) to a Life-Like DL 109 in GM&O colours. I have not worked with split chassis/frame locos before. Is there a 'problem' I should be aware of and if so - what? Any suggestions would be welcome.

I read online about a guy who mills the frames for n scale but couldnt find the specific page however I did find this...

scroll about 25% down and you will find a pic of a split frame LL engine
Try a general web search about milling n scale frames...
Of topic but out of curiosity...what other LifeLike's have you converted?
Thanks for the reply guys. The problem I have is not so much the frames as the electrics. I read somewhere that these frames carry the juice but with normal LL locos the wiring is simple to hard solder - well, the ones I have done were! The last thing I want to do is take a 'screw' out and "boing" the whole lot comes apart! That's happened with my first watch when I was a kid! So, electrically, what's different with a 'live' frame? Confidence comes when there are no bits left over when you've finished the job!
