Decoder for a Athearn SD 40-2 and PK E-6

Just picked up 3 new Athearn RTR engines today. Broke out my Santa Fe SD40-2 and much to my joy the beacon light on the cab lights up on the DC test track.

 What decoder do I need to control the beacon light (is that the right term?) that is on the cab?

 While I am asking decoder questions? What would the right decoder be for a Proto 2000 E-6 with mars lights? I installed a Digitrax DH163 and runs fine, but I cannot turn on the mars light. There is a unused green lead, could that be used for the mars light?

 One last question! What is driffrent between a Athearn RTR and an Athearn Genesis with out sound?

 Daived, when you say the DH163 will work fine, do you mean for both the SD-40 and the E-6?
