Hi Owen, I worked at Alyth for 27 years. If you want track plans, get a hold of the Engineering Dept at Gulf Canada Square in Calgary. You would pretty much have to go there personally (5th floor) and arrange to contact a gent named Bill Ross. He was a Manager there when I left in 2002. They have some amazing old stuff there, station/yard plans etc...If you can't get there, somebody at the Model Train Club in Calgary should have a connection there. I remember doing lots of tours with rail fans and CMR folks. Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers, Rossco

You could try someone from here. http://www.calgarymodelrailway.org/ i lived and railfanned for many years with alot of the people from that site. I am sure they could help you with what was needed. As well you could try contacting the Glenbow museum as there railway archives are very extensive. http://www.glenbow.org/ hope that helps. Any questions you can find my email at http://www.trainswinnipeg.com
Thanks
Devin
