Don't know diddley about the ATSF, but do know how to type "santa fe paint scheme history" in a search bar.  Answer is 1960-1972.

Thanks. I tried that the other day but only got sites with the history of the railroad itself and photos but nothing with a definitive date. 

 

 Sounds like you have the same problem phrasing searches as I do.  I tell my friends that I often get caught in a sort of electronic revolving door, getting answers I didn't want, for questions I didn't really ask!
