Good point, John, and I should have added that my signs are freelanced, as are the railroads on which they're installed.

Also be aware that the flanger signs often varied from railroad to railroad. Not a problem if you have a freelanced empire, but it's an easy trap for someone intending to model a specific prototype.

I use styrene, along with paint and/or dry transfers for the stripes, to make my own simple signs for various purposes, including plow warnings. These two, for two parallel tracks, are warnings to lift the flanger blades for the two crossings just down the track...
This one, on an unfinished portion of the layout, calls for the left wing plow to be retracted for at least two obstructions...
One restriction is the wall of the cut visible in the photo above, and it's followed almost immediately by this sign....
...calling for the right wing blade to be retracted and the flanger blades lifted for at least two restrictions. As the next picture shows, the second restriction (from the first sign) is for the fire suppression platforms on the left side of the bridge, while the latter sign for the flanger applies to the guard rails on the bridge. The restriction on the second sign, for the right wing blade, applies to the tunnel portal, in the distance...
Once the train clears the bridge and exits the tunnel, a sign like the one below will appear (there's not sufficient room to get a camera in place for a photo of the actual sign)....
The "C" indicates to the plow's operator that the plow has "Cleared" the noted restrictions.
For a train approaching the other end of the same tunnel, the operator would see this one, indicating that the plow has cleared all restrictions in the town through which they've just passed...
...followed by this one....
...and then this one, indicating all of the same restrictions, in reverse order, of course, that were seen in the earlier photos ...
This one indicates a single restriction for each wing blade and the flanger, all obvious in the photo...
Because the distances on my layout can't hope to reach those of the prototype, I don't include these signs for all restrictions, as a plow operator would be worn out in no time. Fortunately, plows are unlikely to encounter snow on my layout. These signs, of course, would also apply to Jordan spreaders...
rrebellby the name of Sandri Products
I tried Google on Sandri Products and came up with bottles of wine and propane delivery.
Do you have a link to the snow markers?
Tichy makes a common-type of flanger sign:

And I believe it was Model Power that made a set of signs that included a PRR-style sign.

Saw snow markers from a company by the name of Sandri Products. I know railroads had and have such markers for where to raise the blades for flangers and plows in snow and without snow but could not find any info online.
