Chessie Sytem Paint Recomendations

Does anyone have a model paint recomendation for matching chessie system blue, vermillion and yellow?

I have found that C&O enchantment blue and C&O yellow match the blue and yellow, but I haven't found a stock color to match the vermillion yet (not the vermillion on my Altas engine, anyway).

Anyone got something on the vermillion?

Thanks jps. Which manufacturer? Modelflex, Scalecoat, etc?

For the vermillion I tried Accu-paint Vermillion but found it to be too red and not much orange. It didn't match the Atlas engines I had, or the Kato's.

After several tries I settled on Pollyscale SP Daylight Orange, P/N 270-414185 (Walthers number). It seems to be an exact match for the Atlas orange. For the blue I use the same as jschuknecht, but for the yellow I use the Floquil CSX gloss yellow. I picked this because its gloss so I don't have to apply gloss before applying decals. The down side to the Floquil is that it is an enamel and I know some people aren't crazy about using enamel paints.

I've tried Modelflex for the yellow, and both manufacturers (Modelflex and Polly Scale)for the blue. I brush paint, and Polly Scale works better for me, personally.

Thanks for the SP Daylight tip, Dgoodlander! Now I have someplace to start with that. It would be one thing to get close if I am painting an undecorated engine, but to detail a factory painted Atlas unit, it's crucial to get those colors as close to them as possible.

On a follow-up note, I recently bought some RC car paint, don't remember the manufacturer, to paint the Atlas hand rails with. It is an orange color that is real close, plus it will allow the hand rails to flex without the paint cracking. I figure I can tone down the orange a bit with weather.

Btw B&O Royal Blue will also work for the Chessie Blue..Its a close match to C&O'S Enchantment Blue..And yes the Chessie did use Royal Blue..Now be sure to check the locomotive numbers you are thinking about doing for the correct sub lettering and what paint scheme its in...
